Kansas Trip

While pregnant with Olive, we saved up every day of vacation that we could, so that we would be able to enjoy her and have time as a family when she was born, which was amazing. It was also amazing, after over a year without vacation or long weekends together, to take a trip to see family! We always love our trips to Kansas. There is something so healing about the long drive with beautiful open fields for miles on end. This trip we drove around 6pm so Olive could go down for the night during the drive and we had the pleasure of watching the sunset as we drove. To keep little O asleep we sat in silence, and have since decided it’s one of our favorite ways to travel (and surprisingly romantic). 

Our trip was to celebrate the little life that Bryant’s sister is carrying! Brenna and Dan are going to be parents! Woohoo! We are so pumped for Olive to have a cousin! Kieiva Noelle is due in September and the family was happy to have a fun reason to gather (they were also so kind and showered Olive with gifts as well!). A few of the Belknap Aunts threw the shower and all the cousins pitched in too. The day was filled with games, gifts and lots of catching up.
